You should say as much as you can about mental health, having suffered for over thirty years with a number of mental problems I know just how hard it can be to get help. This government needs to listen to people with real experiences to see how things need to change to get people the help that some so desperately need.
You definitely did not get carried away on mental health. Those who don't experience it have to understand how debilitating it can be, so that things change. Keep up the good work.
I could not agree more, Tatton, with your criticism of the whole of the NHS mental health 'Services'. I too had a breakdown and was admitted to a 'psychiatric' ward. Poorly trained staff, over reliance on symptom crushing medication ( some of which I was allergic to). No talking treatment, little humanity. Secondary services led nowhere in this area (south Yorkshire).
